Two Support Partners standing in front of a Zoomly vehicle

Support work

Community access, domestic assistance, personal care, meals, life skills. Pick the supports you are good at and the hours that suit you.

Support work plus driving

If you drive, you can take transport bookings and combined bookings too. More work available, and better rates on the combined ones.

You do not need a car

Plenty of Support Partners never drive a booking. Driving is extra work if you want it, not a condition of getting started.

What you earn

At pilot, every Support Partner is paid at the SCHADS Award rate for the support they deliver. That is the industry award rather than a number Zoomly invented, so it is one you can look up and check for yourself.

What you earn moves with the support and with the time. Evenings, weekends and public holidays carry the penalty rates the award sets. Travel to a booking is paid as well, within the limits the NDIS sets for it.

You see what a booking pays before you accept it. Nothing gets worked out afterwards.

What you need

Nothing exotic. If you have worked in support before, you probably have most of it already.

  • An NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • First aid
  • The right to work in Australia

If you want to drive as well: a full licence, and a vehicle that passes our online inspection.

Not there yet? Register anyway. Plenty of people sort the screening check out after we have spoken.

The training we give you: Zoomly Foundations

Our own programme, and the part of Zoomly that decides what a booking actually feels like. Which is why we run it ourselves rather than buying it in.

Ours, not off the shelf

We wrote it, we run it, and we change it when the work tells us to. It is not a generic online course with our logo on the front of it.

The work, and the way we work

The support itself, and how Zoomly runs. What good looks like on a booking, and what to do when something is not right.

Before the first booking

Training and screening come before the first booking, not after it. It is part of joining rather than something you get around to later.

How to get started

  1. Register your interest

It goes to a person, not a queue.

  2. We call you

A proper conversation about what you want to do, and when.

  3. Checks and training

    Screening, then Zoomly Foundations.

  4. Take your first booking

Pick one that suits you and go.

How long it takes is mostly up to you

Two ways in. One is quicker, because more of it happens on its own.

In the app

Within 5 business days

Set your account up and work through onboarding there. That is a typical account, ready to take a booking.

Through the website

5 to 10 business days

More of it happens by hand at our end, so it takes a bit longer to get you set up.

Either way you hear where you are up to rather than sitting there wondering.

Book it in five seconds

For coordinators, plan managers and providers booking on someone else's behalf. Trained, vetted Support Partners who turn up, and it does not bounce back onto your caseload.

Every booking on one screen.

Screened and trained before the first booking.

Trips tracked, with a record you can put in a file.

A person to ring who knows the participant, not a ticket number.

The hours you get back

The time you would have spent chasing a provider goes back into coordination.

Referring someone

Ring us or use the form. There is no separate coordinator portal at the pilot, and we would rather answer the phone than send you to one.

Tell us who you are referring, the supports they need, how their plan is managed and roughly where they are. If you already have it written down in a service agreement, that is usually all of it.

We come back to you rather than to them, unless you ask us to do it the other way round. You stay the point of contact until the account is set up and the first booking is done.

Referring several people at once is fine. Say so when you call and we will work through them together rather than one form at a time.

Compliance and assurance

Zoomly is a registered NDIS provider, trading as Zoomly Ride Pty Ltd, ABN 49 676 476 832. You can look us up on the NDIS Commission's register of registered providers rather than take our word for it. We do not publish our registration number here. Ask and we send it through.

Our policy set is written against the NDIS Practice Standards and the NDIS Code of Conduct. It covers incident management, mandatory reporting and safeguarding, privacy, cancellation and the terms people agree to.

Reportable incidents go to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and to police where that applies.

Worker screening, training and insurance are set out on How it works.

Our policies

You should not have to download an app to find out how we work. What affects the people you support is on this website, in plain words, with no login:

  • Cancellation and rescheduling terms
  • How to report an incident, and where it goes
  • Screening, training and insurance

Four of them are published in full on this site with no login: the Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy, the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Collection Notice and the website terms of use.

The rest go out on request rather than as a download link, so we know who has which version and can tell you when one changes. Ask and we send the current pack.

Partner with us

Zoomly backs organisations that get people out of the house. Sport clubs, disability and community organisations, schools, aged care and local business.

Use of the Zoomly Van

Free or discounted access to a wheelchair accessible vehicle that carries two people in wheelchairs at once.

Cash sponsorship

We put money behind the things that get people out and moving.

Referral partnerships

Send people our way and we will look after them.

Every partnership looks a bit different, so we work it out with you rather than off a menu. Tell us what you are running and we will come back to you.
